The W family

I'm a little shocked at myself that it's taken me so long showcase this adorable family! This session was a fairly quick one that the W family squeezed in before a morning of soccer games - oh, the life of a family with active boys. We met at my favorite field because Mama W said she liked the idea of images of her 2 boys playing around in a big, open space, and it was perfect. This family couldn't have been any more fun. Mr. W was HILARIOUS and kept his boys laughing the whole time, making my job so easy. I kind of wish I could bring him along to all of my sessions with young children :) I love big brother's shy, sweet smile and little brother's rambunctiousness. (And does his curly hair not make you want to die?!) Enjoy the W's! Better blogged late than never - clearly, my theme this year!

W family

I met the W family at their gorgeous new home before the holidays, and I had so much fun capturing their pretty girlies! And Mama W had the BEST props. The stylish chairs, the adorable hats, the matching outfits (I'm SUCH a matcher and my poor boys aren't even twins!). There is just so much color and cuteness for one session. One of my favorites from the fall!

Announcing Spring Minis 2012!

Happy spring everyone! Well, it seems like spring never really quite went away with the warm winter we had (which was AWSOME for outdoor photography :)), but now it's official - flowers are blooming and everything is looking so green and new! And I'm thrilled to announce the dates and details of this spring's KDP mini sessions!

And what is a mini session, you ask? It's a fun, quick session at a discounted rate at a gorgeous location that I've chosen. Whether you choose to have your whole family photographed or simply your baby, children, or teen, spring minis are the perfect time to capture treasured images of your loved ones early in the year. Here are all the details:

When: Saturday & Sunday, May 19-20.

I know this is a bit earlier than I've done them in the past, but those who attended my NINETY-EIGHT degree June mini sessions last year will totally understand why. And probably thank me :)
Where: A private residence in Duluth, GA (directly across from Perimeter Church on 141 near the Atlanta Athletic Club). This yard is gorgeous with many awesome backdrop options in addition to a big open space of green grass in the middle. I did my spring mini sessions here 2 years ago, as well as many other regular sessions since then, and I think it's gotten even more beautiful if that's possible! Here's a sneak peek of some images at this location from past sessions:

And here is a little backdrop-only collage of some close ups of the location's gorgeousness:

Investment: $125 for a 30-40 minute session and your 15 best, creatively enhanced images on a high resolution CD.

Saturday, May 19: 9am (filled), 10am (filled), 11am, 4pm (filled), 5pm (filled), 6pm, 7pm (filled)

Contact me at katiedavidsonphotography@gmail.com to reserve your spot! (To ensure you get a spot that works best with your schedule, it would be SO helpful if you would include TWO potential session times in your email!)

See you next month! xoxo

Beautiful M & her mama

I'm really jumping a bit out of order with this post (this session was just last month), but before I announce the details of my spring 2012 mini sessions I wanted to feature a recent session at the awesome location! (I'll have more details about the location in my mini session post, but I just wanted this one to be here to link up!)

Pretty M is 9 months and so adorable! This is the 3rd session I've had with her (I'll blog the other 2 soon - like I said, I'm out of order!), and she looked like a little spring dream! I just love the gorgeous light colors of this session and see so much resemblance between M and her pretty mama - even though I've been told she looks lots like Daddy too! Enjoy these sweet mommy/daughter images, and be on the lookout this afternoon for the officially announcement of KDP's 2012 spring mini session dates and details!

The F family - maternity AND newborn C

For the sake of continuing on in my great blog update, I'm going to bust out a double dose of preciousness today! Here is the adorable - and growing! - F family. For those who don't know, I offer a maternity/newborn package called Mommy & Me, and with it you get these 2 sessions at an awesome discount when booked together! I'm in love with these maternity images (doesn't Mama F look like a maternity model?) The sunset images just make me smile , and you can tell that sweet AB is just so excited to be an almost-big-sister!

And a big sister she was - less than 2 months later to the prettiest little ballerina baby! Little sis C is such an angel and looks sooo much like her mama.

S twins *newborn*

I've decided to continue on in my great blog update with yet another set of ridiculously adorable newborn twins. This brother/sister duo resisted sleep at first (much to mommy's frustration :)), but when they fell asleep they fell HARD, and we were able to get some ridiculously cute images. I mean, can it get ANY more precious than one teeny baby snoozing obliviously on her brother? I think not.

The D twins *newborn*

I love newborn sessions. They are time consuming, exhausting (usually the poor mama and I are both sweating by the end), and almost ALL babies choose a certain point during the session where they decide to mutiny. But no matter how compliant or stubborn the baby (or babieS in this case), I ALWAYS leave with images that make me smile. Those first sleepy-ish days are so fleeting, and it's just such an honor to be able to capture them for others.

These sweet twins boys were amazing! Alert and content at the beginning and snuggly and snooze-y at the end, we got to capture such a variety of images. Aren't they SUCH beautiful babies?
