L & J *engagement*
This precious couple that I shot last fall was my very first engagement session, as well as my very first time shooting at this amazing Duluth location! L & J made my first e-session SO easy because they're super laid back, up for anything, and very obviously in love. They were just so sweet to each other! I'm in love with many images from this session. Are they not the cutest?! And this red barn pretty much rocks too! It's become one of my go-to locations when I get asked for a recommendation. Enjoy!

Holiday mini sessions - part 1
I guess I REALLY should post a few images from last October's holiday mini sessions before I dive into spring minis next week :) My fall mini sessions were crazy - I had the most families I've ever had, an awesome location in downtown Duluth, and just a lot of pre-holiday fun! I've never been as busy as I was last fall and I've also never been as grateful for my amazing clients. I have way too many images that I love to choose from, so here is part one for now!

T twins
For my second post of the day, I think I'm going to keep the twin theme going and bring you the cutest brother/sister 6 month olds! These babies were SO easy! They just smiled and stared, and I don't think either one of them cried even once during our whole session. It's unheard of with babies! And not to mention they were at the "perfect" baby image age: sitting-up-but-not-crawling. It's such a short stage but so wonderfully photographable. Enjoy these little sweets!

W family
I've photographed enough twins to know that lookalike faces definitely don't mean similar personalities, and this was SO true in the case of the adorable W twins! Though equally adorable (and equally stylish thanks to Mama W!), one twin (I bet you can guess who :)) is rambunctious, smiley, and outgoing, while the other is sweetly reserved and cautious. It's so fun to capture different personality types, especially within the same family. This session was in Duluth at the awesome site of last year's spring mini sessions, and I still love it!

Speaking of mini sessions, I have just a couple of spots left for my 2012 spring minis on May 18-20th. Contact me at katiedavidsonphotography@gmail.com to reserve your spot! Or tell your friends and family - each referral gets you a $25 credit toward a future KDP session or print order, as well as my undying gratitude :)

Baby M *newborn*
If there's one thing I hear at probably 75% off all of my newborn sessions, it's, "I have no idea why my baby is so awake! I swear he/she sleeps all the time!" It's true - some babies just hate to miss all the photo session fun, and baby M was no exception. This sweet girl wanted to watch me in fascination and hang out and snuggle with mommy and daddy (much to mommy's dismay!) But when she finally fell asleep, she slept hard and looked like a little angel. But despite her awake-ness for the majority of the session, I just love her images cuddled with mommy and daddy. It just goes to show that sometimes the baby has the better plan :)

The W family
I'm a little shocked at myself that it's taken me so long showcase this adorable family! This session was a fairly quick one that the W family squeezed in before a morning of soccer games - oh, the life of a family with active boys. We met at my favorite field because Mama W said she liked the idea of images of her 2 boys playing around in a big, open space, and it was perfect. This family couldn't have been any more fun. Mr. W was HILARIOUS and kept his boys laughing the whole time, making my job so easy. I kind of wish I could bring him along to all of my sessions with young children :) I love big brother's shy, sweet smile and little brother's rambunctiousness. (And does his curly hair not make you want to die?!) Enjoy the W's! Better blogged late than never - clearly, my theme this year!
